Cheap Wedding Ring

Who Wants A Cheap Wedding Ring Anyway?

Is there any bride out there that wants a cheap wedding ring? I think not! Cheap could mean different things to different people. In terms of a cheap wedding ring, I am not talking about it having lucky packet status but just bellow affordable. Imagine having a wedding of your dreams, a Vera Wang wedding dress and your soon to be husband surprises you at the alter with some tacky looking cheap wedding ring.

You standing there trying to stop yourself from biting the thing just incase its made out of tin and the ‘diamond’ is plastic. I guess this is the reason why so many men opt for their fiancés choosing their own wedding rings to eliminate the embarrassment and shame of their wives rejecting them (i.e. the rings not the men… which has happened before)

When it comes to a suitable wedding ring it should be affordable. I see no point in spending over thousands for a ring that is at risk of either falling down a drain or being misplaced, but this is no excuse for buying a cheap wedding ring. A wedding ring could be seen as an asset in most cases especially pawning it after a divorce… I mean what good is a cheap wedding ring then? There should be limits to how much we spend and as long as it does not put us in a huge debt, I guess its ok.

The True Meaning Of A Wedding Ring

The wedding ring is traditionally worn at the base of the forth finger on the left hand. This is because in the old days, this finger was known to have contained the “vein of love” and by wearing the ring on this finger, a married couple symbolized their eternal love for each other. What happen to the wearing a wedding ring? Has wearing one been deduced to a mere announcement of status?

In this day and age we loose the true value, the sentimental value of a wedding ring. It should be to represent the love that we have for our significant other and at the end of the day whether it is made of plastic or tin its value should be reflected in our hearts. Why are we so obsessed with material things today, whether we have a cheap wedding ring or one that is heavier and shinier than the sun itself we must never forget the true meaning of the wedding ring.
